Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the United States of America is an actress and a singer. Born and raised in Huntington Woods Michigan as the daughter of Lorelei Frygier who was a nurse and Tom Bell - a television director - she is an American singer and actress. Her parents are born in Polish heritage (mother) as well as German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen discovered her talents in the entertainment industry in her early years. In 1992 she won her first part in her audition in Raggedy Ann & Andy. Bell received an agent who was appointed by her mother at the age 13 and she was subsequently hired as a model in television and newspaper commercials. In the same year, she also began classes in acting. Bell was credited as a character in the movie Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell took part in the drama and music club in Shrine Catholic High School. Bell was cast as Dorothy in the production for high school of The Wizard of Oz. Bell was a student of musical theatre at the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts located in New York City after graduating. Bell was a graduate in 2001, left her college studies in order to take on the role Becky in Tom Sawyer. It was also in 2001 that Bell made her first appearance in a film that was credited to her, Pootie Tang (2002). However, her part is cut off and the credits are all that display her. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson and in the Broadway show The Crucible in 2002.
