Kate Hudson

Hudson was born in Los Angeles, California, the daughter of Oscar Award-winning actress Goldie Hawn and Bill Hudson, an actor, comedian and musician.Her parents divorced when she was 18 months older and she, along with her brother who was an actor, Oliver Hudson, were raised in Snowmass, Colorado, and Pacific Palisades, California by her mother and her longtime partner, actor Kurt Russell.Hudson's origins are Italian (from her maternal grandmother), Hungarian Jewish (from her maternal grandmother),and the rest is a mixture of English and some German.She was raised Jewish and, like her mother, she also practices Buddhism.Hudson has declared that her biological father "doesn't know her from a crack in the wall" and she regards Russell her father.Hudson has said that her mother is "the person who I've learned the most from and who I look up to as someone who's led her life in a way that I can look up to". She is half-sibling to Emily Hudson and Zachary Hudson. These are her biological parents' second marriages to Cindy Williams and Lalania Hudson. Wyatt Russell was her mother's relationship. She was accepted to New York University but decided to pursue acting instead of pursuing a degree.
